one of amelia earhart's planes IS in NASM

i worked at the air + space museum for 5 years. if you took all of the touronic things people said in there, you could start a whole new blog!
i once had a woman argue with me about whether or not the first ladies dresses were in the air + space museum. i finally told her that if she found them in there to come get me because i wanted to see where they were...
They do have one of her planes, a Lockheed Vega 5B. Obviously it's not the one she vanished in, but it is Amelia Earhart's.
I'm glad I'm not the only person that thought this "overheard" seemed unnecessary to put on the blog...
